Chapter 2: Bloody Back to School

“Did Mr Rodwell get on with his family?” you ask.

Ellie shrugs. “I'm not sure,” she answers. “I've only met him a few times. Once at his and my sister’s wedding and a few more at other family gatherings.”

“Never spoken to him directly?”

“Only for a few minutes.”

You start to take notes. “And you haven’t noticed or heard anything between him and your sister? Any tension or arguments?”

The question seemed to offend her. Ellie scoffs. “Like my sister would tell me anything,” she spat. “We used to talk a lot but since she met Alfie, we’ve spoken less and less. It’s been about three weeks since I've seen her.”

You smile at Ellie. “Well, thank you, Officer,” you say. “Get yourself back to the station. If we have any more questions we’ll come find you.”

Ellie smiled at you. Then, you both walk in opposite directions, you re-join Wishwell in the building before returning to the station with the evidence.
